Referees: San Marino quartet in Malta for Conference League Q2

While Virtus were coming close to a sensational qualification, another San Marino team was on the pitch last Tuesday for Q2 of the UEFA Europa Conference League. This refers to the international refereeing team led by Michele Beltrano, completed by assistant referees Gianmarco Ercolani and Ernesto Cristiano, with Raffaele Delvecchio as Fourth Official. At the Tony Bezzina Stadium in Paola, on the island of Malta, the ASA-appointed quartet took charge of the second leg between Ħamrun Spartans and Ballkani, the latter already familiar to San Marino football fans having faced La Fiorita – also in the Conference League – in the summer of 2022. The tie was won by the Kosovan side: 2-0 after the goalless draw in the first leg.
