Regions’ Cup San Marino 2025: the final tomorrow at the Acquaviva Stadium
The 13th edition of the UEFA Regions’ Cup is ready to crown its champion. The final will deservedly feature Aragón, winners of Group A – which also included NAT San Marino – and Dolnośląski, who have already lifted this trophy twice. The match will be played at 20:45 at the Acquaviva Stadium: admission to the venue is free, with free live TV coverage on Titani.tv (in Italy and San Marino). For this major occasion, the same FSGC OTT platform will also offer an audio-descriptive commentary service for blind supporters.
This afternoon, in the press room of San Marino Stadium, the head coaches and captains of the two finalists met the media ahead of the decisive match. Dolnośląski coach Jacek Kołodziejczyk underlined that “the team is in good shape, we are happy with our performances in the tournament so far and we are determined going into tomorrow’s final. We are fully aware of Aragón’s qualities; after all, they are the team that has created and scored the most in this final phase. As for us, we have conceded only one goal and we have been very effective on the counter: we hope that can be the key again tomorrow”.
On his side, Richi Civera, Aragón’s coach, laid his cards on the table: “The team comes into this game in perfect condition, perhaps at its very best. We have grown steadily over the course of this week, as confirmed by the data both in defensive and attacking terms. The goals scored and chances created may catch the eye, but we should not forget that this team has conceded just one goal in its last eleven matches. We respect Dolnośląski and their greater international experience: they have already won the UEFA Regions’ Cup twice and some of their players were on the pitch in the final six years ago. They are very compact and clinical, and I think the fans will witness a fantastic final”.
The story of Karol Losin, defender and captain of Aragón but of Polish origin, is truly unique: “It will be a very special match for me. I won’t hide that when I saw the outcome of the Intermediate Round and then the draw for the Final Tournament in March, I was really hoping we could face Dolnośląski in the final act of the competition. I can’t wait to get out on the pitch; for me, playing against Polish ‘colleagues’ is an extra source of motivation. Overall, we are very motivated: for all of us this is our first experience abroad and I think our build-up to the final has been exceptional. I am convinced the fans will enjoy it too, given the quality of both teams: after all, it’s the tournament’s best attack against the best defence, and I hope we can be the ones celebrating in the end.”
For Dolnośląski, Pawel Niemienionek also spoke to the press. He was one of the players rested by coach Kołodziejczyk in the last Group B fixture, as the Polish side had already secured their place in the final. “We have prepared very well for this match and, as the coach has already said, we have played nine games so far and we feel ready for tomorrow’s challenge. We know that Aragón like to control possession of the ball; however, we have our own game plan and we will adopt the countermeasures that we hope can take us to the title.” The Polish defender was part of the regional selection that triumphed in Bavaria in 2019: “I had never played in a match with five penalties awarded in normal time, like in Bavaria, let alone a final. Fortunately we managed to come out on top and win the title, and it was a match that will be remembered for a long time. I remember it was very hot and it is quite difficult to play in those conditions, as it is these days. Some of us already have experience of a UEFA Regions’ Cup final; I hope that can make the difference at key moments in the match and help tilt the outcome in our favour.”
A special initiative for the final is the chance to win two official UEFA Regions’ Cup San Marino 2025 match balls signed by the teams. In addition to the distribution of replica balls that has been organised for every match of the tournament, the final alone will offer the opportunity to take home an original ball signed by the protagonists. During half-time tomorrow, two tickets will be drawn and matched with the two official balls bearing the players’ signatures: whoever holds the winning stubs will secure a lasting memento of the first UEFA Regions’ Cup ever staged in the territory of the Republic of San Marino.
