Rondelli and Zoppis at UEFA CLFS workshop, then on official visit to the FIFA Museum in Zurich

For the first time since the years marked by the pandemic, UEFA has once again been able to host the Regional Workshops on Club Licensing & Financial Sustainability (CLFS), dividing the 55 member associations into three groups, mainly according to their size and shared characteristics. ©FSGC | Zoppis and Rondelli at the FIFA Museum, in front of the FSGC personalised target Representing the San Marino Football Federation at the event were Licensing Manager Paolo Rondelli and Deputy Licensing Manager Andrea Zoppis. The workshop took place in Liechtenstein, coordinated by UEFA and the local association, on 9 and 10 March with 18 European associations in attendance. It provided an opportunity to engage with European colleagues on key Club Licensing topics. In addition to sharing best practices and working in groups to discuss potential future measures to improve the entire football system, the event also served as a platform to present the changes introduced by the new UEFA Club Licensing & Financial Sustainability regulations and to assess how they can be applied within the football systems of the various European associations. Among the speakers, alongside Ales Zavrl (Head of Club Licensing UEFA) and the entire UEFA team, were the president of the Liechtenstein Football Association Hugo Quaderer and the president of FC Vaduz Patrick Burgmeier, who outlined the distinctive features and strengths of their national structure. On their way back, Rondelli and Zoppis accepted FIFA’s invitation for an official visit to the FIFA Museum in Zurich, where they presented the San Marino National Team shirt so that it could become part of the permanent exhibition of all national teams. The two FSGC delegates were also able to admire the temporary exhibition dedicated to FIFA member associations, which for each one includes a special item that is significant for its footballing tradition and culture, and associated with its country. In recent months, the San Marino Football Federation took part in this commendable initiative by donating the personalised target for the large crossbows used during the unveiling of the National Team shirt in 2018, an event held at the Cava dei Balestrieri in the presence of San Marino’s highest sporting and political authorities. An object that tangibly represents a link between the history of our Republic and that of our National Team.
