San Marino: here are the 23 new UEFA C licensed coaches

The diplomas for the 23 new "UEFA C" coaches who attended the course organised by the FSGC Coach Education Department, in collaboration with ASAC, for the period September–December 2022, were handed out last week. Over a programme of 8 weeks and 100 hours of lessons, spread across three months, participants covered all topics relating to Grassroots football and, in particular, the youth sector. Classroom work and on-pitch activities, plus placements and internships at clubs, alternated throughout a course that saw strong participation and engagement from everyone involved. Each participant had the chance to take centre stage in their own way, thanks to an innovative course delivery model, agreed with UEFA officials, which puts the participants at the heart of a learning process rooted in real-life situations. Group work, continuous feedback, and the use of different tools and approaches tailored to the characteristics of the group – just as it should be on the pitch, in the role of coach, with the players. In addition to the tutors and participants, the diploma ceremony was also attended, on behalf of the FSGC Federal Council, by General Secretary Luigi Zafferani and council member Luca Albani, who expressed their appreciation for how the activities had gone and underlined that the quality of the courses offered by the San Marino FA represents the main strategic objective. The Director of the Coach Education Department, Carlo Chiarabini, thanked all the participants and tutors for their commitment and professionalism, outlined the possible future pathways, and expressed his satisfaction with the high quality of the facilities available and with the change of approach that San Marino is proposing in its coach education courses. This is fully in line with UEFA structures, with which work is ongoing to further expand the range of licence types that can be organised in the future. Further updates will be announced shortly.
