The Special Cup returns to Montecchio on 16-17 September 2023

The San Marino Special Cup returns to Montecchio – organised in partnership by the Football Federation, the Federazione Sammarinese Sport Speciali and Special Olympics San Marino. This five-a-side football competition, featuring teams made up entirely of Special Olympics athletes, will once again bring a burst of extraordinary energy and enjoyment to the Federal Centre at Fonte dell'Ovo. The event confirms its strong appeal throughout Italy, with eleven teams from various regions set to challenge the San Marino side. Alongside San Marino, the teams entered are: Soccer Dream Fermana, ASD Albano Primavera, Calcio Samba Rimini, Sportinsieme Castellarano, ASD Calcio Veneto FD, Associazione Fuorigioco ODV, Sport "In"…Veneto ASD - Rosso, Sport "In"…Veneto ASD - Bianco, Insuperabili | Squadra C, Insuperabili Roma, Insuperabili FISPES. The competition is fully part of the activities linked to the FSGC social responsibility projects. The event which, as can be easily understood, goes far beyond mere sporting competition, will unfold over a two-day programme. On Saturday 16 September, group-stage matches will be played followed by the semi-finals, while the morning of Sunday 17 September will be dedicated to the finals, which will determine the final standings of the 2023 San Marino Special Cup.
