TIM SM E-Cup San Marino 2025 is born: San Marino football on PlayStation™

Yesterday afternoon, as part of San Marino Comics 2025, a well-attended panel dedicated to e-sports was held at the Monastero Santa Chiara. Opening remarks were delivered by the Secretaries of State Hon. Teodoro Lonfernini and Hon. Marco Gatti. In particular, the former – promoter of an innovative and, at European level, unprecedented law devoted to this topic – outlined its potential and mechanisms. Acting as moderator was Sky TG24 journalist Fabrizio Basso, who in a later segment also brought to the speakers’ table Andrea Nardoni – Head of Marketing at FSGC. On this occasion, the first unofficial e-football tournament dedicated to the San Marino game was officially announced. The official console will be PlayStation™, while the video game hosting the digital challenges will be FC25.

In the coming hours, the first TIM SM E-Cup San Marino 2025 will get under way, with the participation of eleven of the sixteen clubs set to take part in the Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio (Cailungo, Cosmos, Domagnano, Fiorentino, Folgore, La Fiorita, Tre Fiori, Murata, Pennarossa, Tre Penne, Virtus). The initial phase will be held entirely online and will see the players representing the clubs drawn at random – with participants also randomly assigned to the teams. Ensuring quality, both in terms of event organisation and the skills of the players involved, is Exeed – FSGC’s partner at the dawn of this new venture. A live event will instead be staged on Friday 5 September at the San Marino Outlet Experience (from 16:00) to crown the tournament’s inaugural winner. Four teams will qualify for the Final Four scheduled for the following weekend – all aiming to etch their name into the newly created roll of honour of the TIM SM E-Cup San Marino 2025.
