Titanico739: the new exclusive ball produced by PARK to debut in the San Marino Super Cup

A major innovation is on the way for the imminent start of the sporting season, now just around the corner. In San Marino’s football competitions, including the upcoming Supercoppa on 1 September between Tre Penne and Virtus, the new official match ball – produced by PARK, a globally active company – will make its debut. Fully customised according to guidelines agreed with the San Marino Football Federation, the ball fully reflects its brand identity, immediately visible in the chosen colours. Unique, like the ball itself, is also the name it bears: it will in fact be called Titanico739. While the alphabetical part of the name clearly evokes the cultural, historical and landscape heritage of the Republic of San Marino, the numerical suffix is just as telling. 739 is the number of metres above sea level at the highest point of Mount Titano. Un element that symbolically mirrors the highest point ever reached in the customisation of the FSGC official match ball. These details also speak volumes about the corporate philosophies of FSGC and PARK, both focused on promoting football and supporting football activities, with particular attention to environmental sustainability. Can all this really be represented by a simple football? The answer is definitely yes. Through the "Pass-a-ball" project launched by PARK, for every ball purchased the Australia-based company donates another one to players in need. Thus, thanks to this new partnership, FSGC can also say it has helped deliver hundreds of footballs to boys and girls without one, in every part of the world. The choice of Titanico739 also brings with it a strong focus on environmental issues. In 2021, PARK created the world’s first carbon zero football. For more than two years now, every ball produced has reduced carbon emissions by 5 kg, an amount greater than that generated over its entire production cycle. The balls produced exclusively for FSGC, together with the same number that will be donated through the "Pass-a-ball" project, will help prevent 6 tonnes of carbon from being released into the atmosphere. Returning to the fully customised design, there is an immediate reference to the oak leaves that surround the coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino, all without compromising on the practicality and performance of the ball. With contrasting colours and patterns designed to ensure the best aerodynamic performance, the ball will be highly visible in motion, tracing ideal trajectories and curves. In short, Titanico739 has everything it needs to catch the eye of fans and players who will light up the coming football season. "We are thrilled with our partnership with the San Marino Football Federation and from the very first discussions about the potential of this project, it was clear that we both believe in the power of football to generate positive energy for people and the planet," says Sam Davy, CEO of PARK. "FSGC was determined that this partnership should mirror its competitions, but also the football culture of the country. PARK can only be proud and excited to have helped bring that vision to life." It is an idea, explains Andrea Nardoni (Head of Marketing at FSGC), that has been nurtured over a long period of time: "This project has a long history. We discovered PARK a couple of years ago, which immediately sparked interest and curiosity – particularly for the know-how achieved in such a short time by this young company destined for great things, thanks to their core values, which are also closely aligned with ours. From the outset we understood that creating an exclusive ball for San Marino competitions would be the ideal meeting point, as well as a significant challenge for an organisation like ours, and one that represents a completely new venture. After months of intercontinental discussions and calls, we found the right balance on the essential aspects such as graphics, design and technical features of the ball. Without forgetting that above all it has to be a reliable tool for the athletes. For this reason, we began with an initial production of samples for testing by FSGC, which were subsequently approved with FIFA QUALITY PRO certification. We managed to do everything within the planned timeframe and today we can safely say that, from the start of the 2023-24 season, the players in our league will use a truly unique and beautiful ball for both training and matches! So, many thanks to the PARK board – Nardoni concludes – for bearing with us and supporting us in our requests, to our Federal Council which believed in this idea, and to everyone who contributed to the project: a major effort that has been richly rewarded."
