Titano Futsal Cup: Fiorentino and La Fiorita hit four, Tre Fiori all but book semi-final spot

Fiorentino’s title defence begins with a convincing 4-0 win over Domagnano. Michelotti’s side pull away as early as the first half, going into the break 3-0 up thanks to a Cevoli brace, either side of an own goal by Filippo Dolcini. The scoreline is completed late on, when Busignani finishes off a touchline move to put the seal on the rossoblù victory, sending the reigning champions into a second leg in which they will be able to manage their advantage to some extent. The same applies to La Fiorita, although Galli’s team, unlike Michelotti’s, did have to concede a goal to their opponents on the night. Juvenes-Dogana will in fact have a slightly less daunting mountain to climb than Domagnano, although it is still very much an uphill task. La Fiorita break the deadlock on 10 minutes through Belloni, for a 1-0 that also stands as the half-time score. Right at the start of the second half Gasperoni widens the gap, before Levani’s side find a way to halve the deficit through Bologna. La Fiorita hit straight back, restoring a two-goal cushion through Bernardi. Shortly afterwards Giuccioli also gets on the scoresheet, making it 4-1 and rounding off the scoring. In Dogana Tre Fiori run rampant, thrashing a heavily depleted Murata 8-1. The Bianconeri had tried, through Albani, to stem the yellow-and-blue tide, but Tre Fiori unleashed all their attacking power to deliver a verdict which, barring a sporting miracle in the return leg, already sends Bugli’s side through to the semi-finals. The rout is opened by Urbinati, who is joined on the scoresheet by Esposito, Filippo Burioni (two goals), Lorenzo Burioni (two goals), Michele Casadei and Daniel Casadei. The gap between Libertas and Folgore is narrower after the first 60 minutes. The runners-up carve out a two-goal cushion: a useful lead, but one that cannot be seen as absolutely secure, especially when compared with what happened in the other three first legs. Bernardi’s brace in the opening 8 minutes seems to point the game in a very clear direction. Libertas, however, immediately find a way to react through Bacciocchi, who then strikes again early in the second half after Pelliccioni had made it 3-1. At this point Folgore try to land the decisive blow: Chezzi and Biordi both score, but the last word of the match belongs once more to the Granata, with Davide Rossi keeping alive the comeback hopes of Penserini’s men.
