Titano Futsal Cup: last chance to reach the quarter-finals

In this midweek round of San Marino cup competitions, the Titano Futsal Cup Round of 16 will also be decided – all in tomorrow evening’s fixtures. Folgore, already through to the quarter-finals as holders, are waiting to find out the name of their opponents, which – after the first-leg results – is likely to be Juvenes-Dogana. Levani’s side, who the day before yesterday managed to push powerhouse Murata all the way to the final whistle, will restart from the 3-1 advantage secured against Cailungo (Dogana, 21:45). The aforementioned Bianconeri only need to rubber-stamp their place in the quarter-finals after the resounding 10-0 win over Faetano a fortnight ago: the game will be played indoor at the Acquaviva sports hall (21:45). The tie between Virtus and Tre Penne also appears to have delivered its verdict already, with the Neroverdi able to manage a four-goal lead. That match, scheduled for 20:15 in Fiorentino, will be followed – at the same venue, but at 21:45 – by the clash between Pennarossa and Tre Fiori. The Chiesanuova club won the first leg 4-1 and are aiming to knock out a seeded team at the very first hurdle. The same dream is shared by Cosmos, who however must claw back the two-goal deficit accrued in the first sixty minutes against Fiorentino (Dogana, 20:15). At Domagnano two promising and finely balanced matches are on the card. The Borgo Maggiore derby between San Giovanni and Libertas will resume from 20:15, starting from the 2-0 advantage earned a couple of weeks ago by Franchino’s Rossoneri. Afterwards it will be the turn of La Fiorita and Domagnano, protagonists of the most eagerly awaited tie. Only one goal separates the two sides, with La Fiorita from Montegiardino having edged the first leg 3-2. For the Wolves there is no alternative to victory which, if achieved by a single goal, would mean taking the tie into extra time and possibly a penalty shoot-out. It is worth recalling that if the number of goals scored and conceded is exactly the same on aggregate over the two legs, the Titano Futsal Cup regulations stipulate that two extra periods of five minutes each must be played. Penalties will follow only if the stalemate persists at the end of extra-time. Here is the schedule for the second legs of the 2024-25 Titano Futsal Cup Round of 16:
