Titano Futsal Cup: Murata sweep aside Juvenes-Dogana in first-leg semi-final
Last night the Titano Futsal Cup kicked off the first-leg semi-finals with the tie between Juvenes-Dogana and Murata. The match, played at the Multieventi in Serravalle, saw the Bianconeri run out emphatic 7-1 winners, taking a huge step towards the final.
Murata started with high intensity, clearly on top and making the most of the chances they created. The first decisive blow came in the 3rd minute: Busignani delivered a precise assist for Ercolani who kept his cool and slotted past the goalkeeper, putting the Bianconeri in front. A few minutes later Spada’s men doubled their lead: De Angelis tried a dangerous shot, the goalkeeper parried, but Busignani was quickest to react to the rebound and turned the ball in for 2-0. The side from Città continued to dominate and carve out dangerous openings, including a strike against the post by number 18 himself. Midway through the first half came the third goal: from a set piece, Moretti picked out Belloni, whose shot was deflected into his own net by Mattioli for Murata’s third. Juvenes-Dogana tried to get back into the game with a couple of efforts from Simone Celli and Thomas Celli, but without finding the target. The best chance for the Biancorossoblu arrived at the end of the first half, when a brilliant solo move by Simone Celli produced the goal that briefly made it 1-3.
The second half began immediately with Murata’s fourth goal. Less than a minute after the restart, Mattioli found Ercolani, who completed his brace with a precise finish. The Bianconeri then put the game to bed ten minutes from time. Busignani, already one of the stand-out performers, capitalised on a defensive lapse to make it 5-1. Almost straight from the kick-off the Bianconeri struck again for their sixth, thanks to a well-worked free-kick routine that allowed Mattioli to score for 6-1. In the closing stages Levani’s side tried to reduce the deficit, but Spada’s men kept the pressure high. The final word went to Belloni, who in stoppage time sealed the scoreline at 7-1.
With this comprehensive victory, Murata have taken a major step towards qualification for the Titano Futsal Cup final. Juvenes-Dogana, on the other hand, will need almost a miracle in the return leg, scheduled for next month. This evening the other first-leg semi-final, Pennarossa v Virtus, kicks off at 21:45.
