Titano Futsal Cup: the chase begins for Folgore’s defended title

The 2024-25 Titano Futsal Cup kicks off tomorrow. Fourteen teams will challenge reigning holders Folgore for the trophy. As defending champions, they will benefit from a bye at the round of 16 stage and will therefore debut directly in the quarter-finals. The Giallorossoneri will face the winners of Juvenes-Dogana v Cailungo. The first leg of that two-legged tie will be played on the artificial surface in Dogana, which will then also host Cosmos v Fiorentino. Muccioli’s and Galli’s sides have been placed on opposite sides of the draw, with the Rossoblù installed as the second seed in the seeding. Whoever makes it through will meet the winners of Virtus v Tre Penne, whose first leg will be played tomorrow in Fiorentino. That will only kick off after the first sixty minutes of Tre Fiori v Pennarossa, scheduled for 20:15. On paper, it looks the most finely balanced of all the round of 16 ties, which also include the Libertas v San Giovanni derby. The two clubs from Borgo Maggiore will face each other in the second game on the Domagnano programme. Before that comes the clash between the local Giallorossi coached by Fabio Gasperoni and La Fiorita. The winners of that two-legged tie will go on to meet whoever comes out on top in Murata v Faetano, a match for which the Bianconeri start as clear favourites according to the predictions and which will be played indoor at the Acquaviva gym. Here is the schedule for the first legs of the 2024-25 Titano Futsal Cup round of 16:
