UEFA DAO meeting: Zoppis in Lisbon for the new guidelines on stadium accessibility for disabled supporters
A new international engagement on the theme of inclusion for the FSGC and for Disability Access Officer Andrea Zoppis. On 3 and 4 December, Lisbon – at the new technical centre of the Portuguese Football Federation – hosted the DAOs and SES Managers of all the European federations for the presentation of UEFA’s new guidelines on accessibility to European stadiums for disabled supporters.
On this occasion, in addition to UEFA SES department director Michele Uva, the Secretary General of the Portuguese Federation, Teresa Romão, and AccessibAll Operations Manager Michael Rice also spoke. AccessibAll is an association that works with UEFA to promote leading best practices in order to ensure all fans have the best possible opportunities to access European stadiums.
San Marino continues to be at the forefront on these issues, as demonstrated by the introduction several years ago of the audio-descriptive commentary (ADC) service for National Team matches for blind fans, and of sign language training for its stewards.
