Under-12: Tre Fiori/Fiorentino are 2023-24 spring champions

Paolo Tarini’s Tre Fiori/Fiorentino side have been crowned Under-12 spring champions. The Neroarancio, part of the Scuola Calcio Titano structure, avenged their defeat in the final of the winter tournament, overcoming Cosmos 1 in a replay of the clash that had assigned the apertura title last 16 December. As on that occasion, it was the first period that decided the outcome of the match. The following two periods both finished goalless, to the delight of Tre Fiori/Fiorentino, who had topped the regular-season standings. There were in fact five goals in the opening period, which took off inside the first five minutes. Credit to Mirchev, who put Tre Fiori/Fiorentino in front. Cosmos 1 hit straight back through Sensoli. The latter then enjoyed the satisfaction of a brace, making it 2-2 on 15 minutes after Baldani had restored Tre Fiori/Fiorentino’s lead. As before, the level scoreline lasted less than a minute. This time it was Selva who found the net for a 3-2 lead that brought Tre Fiori/Fiorentino closer to the title. The subsequent periods, both ending 0-0, confirmed the Neroarancio’s return to winning ways. There was nothing doing for the Gialloblù of Cosmos, representing Serravalle Football Academy. Before the final itself, all the other teams entered in the spring tournament of the San Marino Under-12 Championship also took part in the event’s closing day. In the morning, under the coordination of the FSGC Grassroots Department and with the collaboration of the San Marino football hubs, triangular mini-tournaments were organised on the pitch at San Marino Stadium. It should also be remembered that the Fair Play award – given to the team that involved the highest number of registered players over the course of the matches – went to the women’s team of San Marino Academy.
