Under-16: Magnani calls up 20 players for the UEFA Development Tournament

Next week the UEFA Development Tournament will take place in San Marino, reserved for Under-16 national youth teams. In addition to the hosts, the Titani, the same age groups of Slovenia, Georgia and Montenegro will also take part. In that order, they will be the opponents of the young Biancazzurri on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. All three of San Marino’s matches – including the Easter Sunday fixture against Montenegro – will be streamed live on the TITANI.TV platform, completely free of charge. The opener is scheduled for Tuesday 4 April at 15:00 against Slovenia. The Acquaviva Stadium will host every match in the tournament, with San Marino always playing in the early afternoon. Thursday’s game against Georgia will also kick off at 15:00, while the start of the final fixture has been brought forward by thirty minutes. On Sunday 9 April, San Marino-Montenegro will get under way at 14:30. The other three matches will be played at 11:00 on the first two matchdays, and at 10:30 for Sunday’s meeting between Slovenia and Georgia. Admission to the stadium is free. From a regulatory point of view, the sin bin – temporary dismissals – has been removed, while the duration of each half has been extended from 40 to 45 minutes. Over the course of the tournament, every player must play at least 90 minutes in total, and the points system rules out the use of extra time. In the event of a draw, the match will go straight to penalties, with two points awarded to the team that wins the shoot-out. The team defeated on penalties will receive one point.
