Under-17 and Under-19 national teams attend Integrity workshop
This week, on 2 and 5 October to be precise, integrity-themed workshops were held – led by San Marino’s Integrity Officer, lawyer Massimiliano Rosti – for the San Marino Under-17 and Under-19 National Teams. This mandatory appointment, required by UEFA regulations and organised until last year in the country hosting the qualifying mini-tournament for the European Championship in that age category, has since 2023 been managed internally by each individual member association. The initiative promoted from Nyon allows young players, on the verge of gaining valuable continental experience, to receive a crucial set of information on legislation against match-fixing and the manipulation of football matches in their own mother tongue, as well as to learn about the relevant national regulations.
The Integrity Officer Massimiliano Rosti met the Under-17 National Team last Thursday, while on Monday 2 October it was the turn of the Under-19s – who tomorrow will travel to the Czech Republic to play in the qualifying group for the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. The younger Biancazzurrini, meanwhile, will be in action in the final week of October in the group hosted by Italy.
