Under-21: successful surgery for Riccardo Zafferani

Riccardo Zafferani, San Marino Under-21 central defender who was recently injured at the start of the match against Finland Under-21, underwent repair of the medial meniscus and trimming of the lateral meniscus this morning. The operation, performed by Prof. Camillieri together with Dr. Grana at the State Hospital of San Marino, was a complete success, and the player will begin his rehabilitation programme as soon as possible. His return to competitive action is expected in 4–5 months.
