“With Every Breath I Have”: Marlù and FSGC together again to support young female footballers in discovering and accepting their bodies

The series of meetings promoted by Marlù in collaboration with the Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio (FSGC), San Marino Academy and with the support of UEFA is continuing. On Saturday 17 May, at La Fabbri.ca – the headquarters of the Marlù brand – a meeting was held entitled “With Every Breath I Have”, the second event in the project dedicated to the physical and mental well-being of young athletes, with particular focus on the value of the female body and on discovering one’s inner strength through sport.

The meeting featured Mapi Danna, trainer, Women’s Empowerment Specialist and author of numerous projects on social issues, and Angela Procida, Paralympic swimmer and cyclist. It was an intense and genuine dialogue, in which the San Marino Academy girls aged between 12 and 17 also took part, and which proved to be a valuable opportunity to reflect on profound and universal themes such as identity, authenticity, self-acceptance and the transformation of limits into resources.

Angela Procida shared her personal and sporting journey, explaining how discipline, courage and love of life can turn any difficulty into a driving force towards fulfilment. The exchange with Mapi Danna, meanwhile, gently addressed the everyday challenges faced by young athletes: social pressure, the search for approval, and comparison with unattainable role models.

At the heart of the meeting was a clear message: every body is unique, every story matters, and the real victory lies in learning to look at yourself with eyes capable of acceptance. Sport thus becomes a tool for freedom and awareness, helping every girl to shape her own path beyond external judgement and expectations. The series of meetings will continue in the coming weeks, with the aim of offering young female footballers opportunities for listening, inspiration and personal growth, confirming the commitment of Marlù and FSGC to promoting a healthy, inclusive sport that values femininity.

“With this project we want to offer the girls a space where they can listen to themselves, recognise themselves and appreciate each one’s individuality and uniqueness beyond stereotypes. Angela Procida and Mapi Danna gave us a powerful meeting that speaks of sport, courage and self-love.” - said Marta Fabbri, Co-Founder and Marketing & Communication Director. - “At Marlù we firmly believe that every girl, every woman, must have the opportunity to recognise, express and fully value her personality.

“When FSGC manages to play a cultural as well as a sporting role in the growth of our boys and girls, my happiness is doubled. After the first meeting, focused on prevention and well-being, this second, highly motivational event fits perfectly with our objectives and will allow our girls’ youth sector to get to know two champions in their respective fields of work: a great honour.” said Andrea Nardoni, Administrative Coordinator and Head of Marketing at FSGC. “We thank Marlù for making it possible to have Angela Procida and Mapi Danna here in San Marino, and for once again giving us great organisational and logistical support in running this project. Proactive partners like this, who enter our world and help us to improve it, are – as I always say – exactly what we need.” concluded Nardoni.
