Women’s football: the first Under-15 National Team gets to work

The “universe” of San Marino women’s national teams continues to expand. With the announcement of the creation of the Under-19 Women’s National Team – drawn just yesterday into Group B3 of the upcoming European qualifiers (Round 1) – another women’s selection from the Titan is taking its first steps, with the clear intention of soon finding full speed. This is the Under-15 Women’s National Team, which met for the first time last Wednesday in Faetano under the guidance of an expanded staff, currently led by Giacomo Piva but also including figures who are making their debut in the FSGC national-team setup and who, given the constant growth of the women’s game, will soon be called upon to play an increasingly direct role. The pool of players called up for this project is also particularly broad: in many ways, this squad serves as a gateway to the world of the women’s national teams of the Titan. There are 28 players in total, born in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The group also trained the following day, Thursday 5 June, and is scheduled to meet again next week for a double session (13 and 14 June), followed shortly afterwards by a home friendly against Reggiana Under-15.
