Women’s National Team: UEFA Women’s Nations League draw on Tuesday
These are days of great excitement ahead of the very first official match for San Marino’s Women’s National Team, scheduled in the window between late November and early December, when the Titane will be involved in a double FIFA friendly. At the same time, the UEFA Women’s Nations League is also taking centre stage, the competition that in the first months of 2027 will mark another debut for the squad coached by Giulia Domenichetti: their first matches with points on the line. On that front, the story is yet to be written: and it will be written on Tuesday 3 November through the draw to be held in Nyon from 13:00. The new edition of the tournament will see a record number of participating teams, and the credit in this respect goes precisely to the San Marino National Team, the latest to join the European stage of women’s national sides. With Russia excluded, the 2027 Nations League will be the first to feature 54 teams. San Marino – which naturally occupies 54th place in the ranking – will be part of League C. It will be placed in pot 4, which also contains two of the opponents the Titane will face in the November and December friendlies: Liechtenstein and Gibraltar – as well as Andorra. As a result, these four national teams cannot meet each other in the upcoming Nations League. Instead, they will be distributed across four of the six groups that will make up League C. Two of those groups will consist of three teams, but that will not be the case for San Marino, who already know that – whatever the outcome of the draw – they will be placed in a group of four. The tournament fixtures will also be drawn on Tuesday.
