Women’s Under-19: European Championship Round 2 to be played in San Marino
In a packed week of European draws, which for San Marino will conclude tomorrow with the grouping concerning the Futsal National Team, today at UEFA headquarters was dedicated to the women’s youth European Championships. The newly formed San Marino Women’s Under-19 national team was involved in the draw for Round 2 of qualification for the European Championship in their age category, which will be decided next summer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the basis of the Round 1 results, played no more than a fortnight ago, the Biancazzurrine will take part in League B – with matches to be staged between the end of February and the beginning of March 2026.
San Marino has been drawn in Group B1, alongside top seeds Estonia, as well as Slovenia and Cyprus. Two completely new opponents, in addition to the Cypriot side, who visited San Marino last October for two closely contested friendlies. And it is precisely in the Republic that the mini-tournament will be held, with at least one place up for grabs to reach League A of the next European Championship, scheduled for autumn 2026. A further promotion spot is reserved for the best second-placed team across the six League B groups. The Group B1 mini-tournament will be played from 27 February to 5 March 2026 in the Republic of San Marino.
