League: record-breaking Osayande goal after 4"07, but Pennarossa equalise at the death

Everything and its opposite happens in Fiorentino, where Libertas and Pennarossa serve up a heart-stopping clash featuring two goals and a sending-off apiece. Barely time to sit down and the Granata are already in front, thanks to a goal destined to go viral around the world and rewrite San Marino football records. From kick-off, Nicolini touches it to Osayande, who heads straight for goal – finding the net in just four seconds and seven hundredths. If not the fastest goal in the history of San Marino football, then certainly one of the quickest ever scored. After another wayward attempt by Osayande, it is Jabi who has the chance to level – left one-on-one with Magnani, who comes out on top. Pennarossa step up the tempo and go close to 1-1 either side of the interval, only to then suffer the sending-off of Gega on the hour mark. Libertas make full use of the situation, doubling their lead with a splendid move finished off by Ahib from a perfect Nicolini assist. Two goals and a man up, Sperindio’s side inexplicably fall apart: Pennarossa grow dangerous from set pieces and on 84 minutes pull one back directly from the corner flag through the Michelotti-Gavelli combination. The San Marino midfielder, after providing the assist, then wins and converts the penalty for the final 2-2 scoreline in the third minute of added time. On the play, a major error by Polizzi. In between, there is also the dismissal of Ahib for a second yellow card. At the top, Tre Penne halt Cosmos. A draw in Montecchio probably suits neither side: Lepri see their lead over the chasers cut to a single point, with the risk of being caught by Virtus in Sunday’s late fixture. Tre Penne remain seven points off the summit. The Gialloverdi have the better of the early stages, forcing Migani into action on D’Addario’s right-footed effort. Their pace in transition causes problems for the Biancazzurri backline, which also plays its part – with Lombardi – in Badalassi’s goal on 37 minutes. The defender carries the ball through the middle but loses it under Errico’s pressure, who then releases the centre-forward – scoring on his first appearance as an ex-player against Tre Penne. One minute later comes the sliding door moment: Cosmos waste a four-on-three counter-attack and are promptly punished by the break that makes it 1-1, launched by Scarponi and finished with a thunderbolt from Nigretti. After the restart there is little to report, apart from a coast-to-coast run by Pierri that ends with a scuffed left-footer. On the hour Ben Kacem also goes it alone, but is blocked by an excellent Migani – decisive again at 90+1 minutes on Pierri’s point-blank diagonal effort. Tre Penne’s second-half output boils down to a shot-cross from Nigretti, gathered at the second attempt by Semprini. The third match of the afternoon is played in Acquaviva between Fiorentino and Cailungo. On 8 minutes Abouzziane almost scores an extraordinary goal, getting in front of Francioni to strike with a back-heel from the by-line – only to see it crash spectacularly off the post. Cailungo respond with a run into the box by Gjyla, thwarted by Benedettini racing off his line, but they struggle to contain Abouzziane. Belward is no less of a threat, setting up Salemme’s right-footed effort on 19 minutes, with Francioni standing firm. Iuzzolino heads over from a Meluzzi free-kick, while Gjyla fires wide from twenty yards. It is Cailungo’s best spell, and they also threaten with a left-footed effort from mid-range by Gori. After the break, it is almost all Fiorentino: Salemme and Galeone both go close to the opener, while Abouzziane tests Francioni from a dead ball. The difference on the scoresheet is made by El Ardoudi’s strike, as he hits it first time from Belward’s lay-off, sending the ball into the top corner. Managing the lead then becomes trickier following the sending-off of the same wide attacker who had provided the assist, which sets up a besieging finale from Cailungo. Roberto Sarti’s men carve out at least three clear chances, but lack the cutting edge in front of goal. Dolcini’s effort off the crossbar on 89 minutes offers a bitter omen for Tarini, who can instead celebrate his third win in four matches in charge of Fiorentino – who consolidate fifth place in the table.
