"Challenging the Impossible", the first week is a resounding success
One week on from the official opening, "Challenging the Impossible: the incredible story of Sammarinese football" has already received unanimous praise. "It has been an intense but rewarding week," report staff at the Titanus Museum. "The installation dedicated to football in the Republic of San Marino has been very well received, proving to be moving and engaging for all visitors – most of them supporters who came to the country for San Marino v Gibraltar." To give an idea, over the very first opening weekend more than half of all visitors had attended the match at the San Marino Stadium and took advantage of the dedicated discount.
The main point of contact, especially for international visitors, has once again proved to be social media: "Many tourists and football fans from across Europe discovered the Titanus Museum through social initiatives, while others stumbled upon it during a stroll through the Old Town. As we await the Sammarinese public to fully embrace this unprecedented project in the country, we are already seeing the deeply emotional reactions of those who have been able to immerse themselves in ‘Challenging the Impossible: the incredible story of Sammarinese football’." The media buzz around this initiative has benefitted from major amplifiers such as radio and television spots as well as digital and traditional media, as shown by the presence of a visitor from Cesenatico who had read about this multimedia project in La Gazzetta dello Sport. "What people like and find most moving,” the Titanus Museum staff note, relaying the words of the very first visitors, “are the recurrent themes of struggle and perseverance in achieving meaningful results, with immense pride, despite the prestige and status of their established opponents."
