Coppa Titano, semi-finals: La Fiorita and Domagnano facing a mountain to climb

The first 90 minutes of the Coppa Titano semi-finals produced two results that amount to strong claims on a place in the 30 April final. Folgore will defend a 2-0 lead, while Tre Fiori even have a 3-0 advantage: on the other side, this means that Domagnano and La Fiorita will have to play without holding anything back if they are to attempt a comeback that, if not quite desperate, is certainly Herculean – especially in the case of the current holders. Compared to Sunday, the venues will be reversed: Tre Fiori and La Fiorita will battle it out in Acquaviva, while Domagnano and Folgore meet in Montecchio. Purely from an arithmetic point of view, the Wolves appear to have the less daunting task: Angelini and his team-mates must overturn a two-goal deficit, an objective they will pursue without Parma – sent off in the first leg – but with Nanni back in the squad. Mancini’s list of players one booking away from suspension has grown: Colonna, Faetanini and Grieco have now joined Gaiani, Semproli, Morena and Fancellu. On the other side, the imperative is to protect – and possibly increase – the two-goal cushion provided by Docente and Pasini, in order to return to a Coppa Titano final for the first time since the 2018-19 season and, more ambitiously, to win a trophy they have not lifted since 2015, the year of the treble. Lepri will also have to pay special attention to his players at risk of suspension: on Sunday morning the list already included Fedeli, Spighi, Dormi and Hirsch, with Sottile and Pasini added in the afternoon. Tre Fiori will be without one player through suspension: Gjurchinoski will not be able to leave his mark on the second leg as he did in the first. It was the Croatian forward who scored the goal that wrapped things up in the 90 minutes at Montecchio, making it 3-0 – a scoreline that may not be a definitive verdict, but comes very close. That said, La Fiorita certainly do not lack technical quality and experience, and they will need the perfect performance – and to hope Tre Fiori are less than perfect – to achieve a quite sensational result, which nevertheless remains their only route to keeping their title defence alive. Loiodice and Brighi have joined the list of players one yellow card away from suspension, which already included Zafferani, Di Maio, Gasperoni, Miori and Serra Sanchez. For Tre Fiori, Pracucci, Censoni and Ciccione will all have to be doubly careful. On the positive side, Cuzzilla, D’Addario and De Lucia are available again. As with the first legs, the return fixtures will also be broadcast live on Titani.TV. Here is the full semi-final schedule:
