FSGC and ASCO35 sign Memorandum of Understanding
In the spirit and shared principles of UEFA’s "Grassroots Charter", the FSGC and ASCO35 have decided to formalise a Memorandum of Understanding that will make it possible to launch, concretely and efficiently, all joint initiatives between the two bodies, which have in fact already been working in close synergy for a long time. The mission of this protocol, signed this afternoon at the FSGC headquarters, is to promote the truest values of football, placing at the heart of its ecosystem everyone who plays the game, at every level: supporters, players, coaches, officials, casual fans, and so on. The activities developed by ASCO35, now under a formalised partnership with the San Marino Football Federation, are geared towards practising football as a vehicle for educational, social and sporting development and for the respect of all the principles of social coexistence, civic education, fair play and inclusiveness. Not only that: the Association, which has always been highly active in raising funds for non-profit organisations – especially those involved in protecting children – will use this valuable instrument to make its charity initiatives even more structured, carried out on pitches in the Republic of San Marino made available by the FSGC along with technical equipment and all necessary logistics, as has always been the case up to now and as this document – among other things – now formalises. In short, by signing the protocol, the San Marino Over-35 Players’ Association and the Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio clearly express their intention to pursue, hand in hand, these fundamental ethical objectives linked to the practice of football, hoping that this act will also provide further momentum in bringing together, under the banners of ASCO and the FSGC, the many passionate followers of this wonderful sport.
