Futsal: all the leaders win, Folgore hit four past Faetano

With La Fiorita sitting out their rest round, there were only wins for the top six in the table. There were therefore no surprises in the first batch of matches played last night, valid for the 19th round of the futsal league.

League leaders Murata show no mercy to Cosmos and, with a goal in each half, get the better of the Gialloverdi. Morri opens early on, then the Serravalle side see head coach Franchino and Francioni sent off shortly before the end of the first half. The Bianconeri double their lead at the start of the second half through Aruci, who sets the final score at 2-0. It is a second defeat in a row for Cosmos and yet another win for Murata, who stay top, one point clear of Tre Penne. Comeback victory for Penserini’s Biancoazzurri, who win 3-1 over Juvenes Dogana in Fiorentino. It is however Cellarosi’s side who go in front thanks to Christian Mazza, on target early in the second half. Tre Penne soon reply through Cola, who makes it 1-1. The City club take the lead in the 54th minute with Sabatino, then in the closing stages Pari applies the final seal.

Virtus also stay in touch, beating a good Domagnano in Dogana to remain three points off the summit. The first half belongs to the Giallorossi, who first break the deadlock through Menghi and then double their lead with Sensoli, sending the Wolves into the break two goals up. Michelotti shakes his players and within the first seven minutes of the restart they turn it around thanks to a brace from Pasqualini and a goal from Morini. Domagnano hit back and it is once again Menghi (a brace for him) who finds the net for a temporary 3-3 with ten minutes to go. Virtus refuse to settle and, late on, produce the decisive surge through Morini – also on a brace – and once again Pasqualini, who completes his hat-trick to make it 5-3 to the Neroverdi. It is a more straightforward win for Pennarossa – currently fifth – who in Dogana deal with Fiorentino with a clear 4-0. The Biancorossi take the lead at the end of the first half through Oddone, then after the break a brace from Verri and a goal from Ceccoli increase the gap between Novembrini’s side and Screti’s. It is a third win on the spin for Pennarossa, while Fiorentino are beaten for the second game running. The same scoreline also for Folgore, who beat Faetano at the Multieventi and bring an end to the Gialloblù’s two-game winning streak. Zonzini’s men take the lead in the 10th minute through Ercolani, who finishes off a neat one-two with Pazzaglia. The second arrives in the 25th minute, Bacciocchi turning in Ottaviani’s corner and leaving Rastelli no chance. Selva’s team try to react, creating several chances after the interval, but it is Folgore who kill it off at the end. The third goal bears the signature of Molari, who in the 57th minute wins the ball back in his own half and, after a fine run, finishes with his left foot across goal. The same Molari then provides the assist a few minutes later for the final 4-0 goal scored by Muccioli, who cannot miss from two steps out. Folgore thus return to winning ways, overtake Cosmos and climb to sixth place.
