Futsal: La Fiorita come from behind twice to beat Pennarossa

The blockbuster clash at the Multieventi between Pennarossa and La Fiorita went the way of the latter, who made it two wins from two this season by coming from behind twice against last year’s runners-up from Chiesanuova. Matteo Chezzi was the standout performer, deciding the contest in the closing stages with a hat-trick. Up to that point it had been the Reds in control: they led 1-0 at the break thanks to an early goal from Timpani, and went back in front on 34 minutes through captain Baldani after Massimiliano Bernardi had temporarily levelled. In the finale, as mentioned, Matteo Chezzi took centre stage: on 48 minutes he struck the equaliser, two minutes later he completed the turnaround and, right on the stroke of the final minute, he sealed a 4-2 victory for La Fiorita.

Big wins for Cosmos and Virtus, who both put seven past Tre Fiori and Fiorentino respectively. Acquaviva’s Neroverdi all but wrapped up the points in the first half, going in 4-0 up thanks to a brace from Pasqualini and further goals from Cavalli and Cevoli. Rossini pulled one back for 4-1, while Morganti – along with second goals from both Cevoli and Cavalli late on – rubber-stamped Virtus’ victory. Cosmos’ win was never in doubt either, as they went ahead inside the first minute through Molinas. The striker would score twice more, at the end of each half, while Cerquetti, Lorenzo Bacciocchi and a brace from Cervellini completed the 7-0 scoreline with which Franchino’s side were able to celebrate their first three points of the season.

Just a single goal was enough for Folgore to get the better of San Giovanni. Antonio D’Amico’s Giallorossoneri, after a goalless first half, found Taddei as their saviour. His strike on 35 minutes delivered victory over Palermino’s team. Murata also edged it by the narrowest of margins, in their meeting with Cailungo on the Domagnano artificial pitch. The Bianconeri raced into a 2-0 lead through De Angelis and an own goal from captain Burgagni, before withstanding the opponents’ reaction, which materialised in Meloni’s 1-2 goal on 20 minutes. After the restart Ghiotti restored the two-goal cushion, only for Flammini to find Murata’s net again on 59 minutes. There was no late sting in the tail for the reigning champions, who even failed to convert two long penalties through Busignani and Mattioli either side of the last goal of the evening.

Libertas and Tre Penne both win 4-1, against Juvenes-Dogana and Faetano respectively. Levani overcame his former club thanks to braces from Paolini and Fabbri. Sandwiched between Paolini’s two goals was the temporary 1-2 for the Serravalle side scored by Thomas Celli. Either side of half-time and again on 39 minutes Fabbri completed his double, pushing the Granata towards a four-goal tally and the win. By the same scoreline, Tre Penne stay on maximum points alongside Virtus, Murata and La Fiorita. Penserini’s Biancazzurri did all their scoring in the first half, which ended 4-0. On the scoresheet were a brace from Sabatino, an own goal by Giacomo Bacciocchi and a finish from Cola. Midway through the second half there was room for a Faetano consolation goal from Menghi, while on 51 minutes Rosa missed a long penalty that could have made it 2-4.
