Futsal: La Fiorita off to a flying start, Faetano stun Tre Penne

With last night’s fixtures, the 2026-27 San Marino Futsal Championship is officially underway. La Fiorita begin with a convincing victory: the Montegiardino club dominate at the Multieventi against Juvenes Dogana, running out 6-1 winners. One of the Gialloblù’s major summer signings, Andrea Ercolani, breaks the deadlock early on. Shortly afterwards Pasqualini doubles the lead, before Simone Chezzi makes it three before the interval. Pietrangeli’s side keep their foot on the gas after the restart, extending their advantage through Pellegrini, a second goal from Pasqualini, and a late strike from Zafferani. Juvenes Dogana’s consolation comes in the 53rd minute through Cecchini.

More unexpected, instead, is Faetano’s win over Tre Penne. After last season’s third place, the Biancazzurri started as favourites, but Selva’s men turn in an excellent performance and take home the first three points of the campaign. The match in Fiorentino is unlocked on 23 minutes by Taddei, who puts the Gialloblù ahead, and they soon double their lead (29’) through Rossi. Tre Penne react, and Tassitano’s goal brings them back into it. However, the strike that effectively settles the contest arrives in the 49th minute, when Dellamotta turns into his own net to make it 3-1 and spark Faetano celebrations.

The only draw of the evening comes in the following match, also played in Fiorentino. Virtus and Cosmos share the points in a 2-2 draw. The game starts with an immediate exchange of blows between Liistro and Tedesco – both new signings for the Gialloverdi and the Neroverdi respectively. Then an own goal from former Cosmos player Francesco Stolfi restores the lead for Michelotti’s Virtus. The final word, though, belongs to Stolfi himself, who makes amends and levels for Franchino’s Cosmos in the 57th minute, sealing the 2-2 result.

The reigning champions Murata also begin well: despite a revamped squad they edge out Folgore. The Falciano club, now coached by new boss Baldarelli, go in front on 7 minutes thanks to new signing Abbruciati, but Molinas replies for the Bianconeri. A goal from Mattioli at the start of the second half puts Screti’s team ahead, and they add a third shortly afterwards through Recober. Mularoni pulls one back for Folgore in the 48th minute, but it is not enough for the Giallorossoneri to avoid an opening defeat.

Libertas, by contrast, claim a more comfortable win under Levani, beating Cailungo 5-1 in the other match played in Domagnano. Riccardo Michelotti opens the scoring for the Granata, before a brace from Gasperoni paves the way for the Borgo Maggiore club. Baldelli’s goal early in the second half makes it four, and although Sarti pulls one back late on for the Rossoverdi, the final word again goes to Libertas, with Giuccioli rounding off the scoring in favour of the Granata.

Matchday 1 continues this evening (22:00) with the indoor clash at the Acquaviva sports hall between Pennarossa and Domagnano, and will conclude on Thursday, again on the Acquaviva court, with Fiorentino v Tre Fiori.
