Futsal: Murata crash into Tre Fiori and lose top spot

The leading pair is no more. Pennarossa sweep aside Fiorentino and continue their perfect start to the season. Murata’s run ends after four wins and they also surrender second place, now in the hands of La Fiorita, who cruise past Cailungo. Perfect parity between Juvenes Dogana and Virtus, who both move up to 5 points, the same tally as Tre Fiori. The latter are responsible for the most unexpected result of a busy league Monday. The yellow and blues hand Murata a resounding 5-0 defeat, with only two names on the scoresheet. Oddone twice hits the Black & Whites’ net at the end of the first half before completing his hat-trick in the 7th minute of the second period. Screti’s side never recover, and Bugli’s men further stretch the gap in the closing stages, when Bernardi bags a brace. Murata’s unbeaten run (which had lasted since February 2024) comes to an end, and they slip to third place. They are overtaken by La Fiorita, who claim a second straight victory – their fourth overall – against Cailungo. The only match scheduled in Acquaviva ends in an emphatic 8-1, with Cevoli opening the scoring after just 3 minutes. Simone Chezzi doubles the lead shortly after, then Zafferani makes it three immediately before Cailungo’s only reply, signed by Antonelli. La Fiorita remain unfazed and continue to execute their game plan: Matteo Chezzi strikes for 5-1, Cevoli completes his brace and, late on, Stacchini also gets on the scoresheet. An own goal by Sarti, just before the final whistle, seals the scoreline. Pollini’s side thus suffer a third consecutive defeat and fail to make up any ground on the duo formed by San Giovanni and Tre Penne, who will be on court – respectively – this evening and tomorrow.

Pennarossa – now sole leaders – hit double figures against Fiorentino. The game is already 6-0 inside 20 minutes, a spell in which Busignani, Celli (twice), Gasperoni, Stefanelli and even goalkeeper Giusti find the net. Rossini tries to rouse Fiorentino, but in the first two thirds of the second half another barrage of white-and-red goals arrives: from Stefanelli, Maiani and Busignani. Benedettini updates the red-and-blue side of the scoreboard, as does Giardi in the final stages. Pennarossa, however, keep scoring: in particular Busignani (hat-trick), Toccaceli and Gasperoni, for a final score of 12-3. The most evenly balanced match of the evening is the one between Virtus and Juvenes Dogana. The build-up suggested as much: the two teams were level on points – and they remain so after the head-to-head. The contest really comes to life in the last quarter of an hour. First, in the 33rd minute, Juvenes Dogana lose goalkeeper Bucci to a straight red card, but they manage to survive the numerical inferiority with the score still at 0-0. Dolcini puts Virtus ahead on 46 minutes. Juvenes Dogana regroup and equalise on 55 minutes through Cecchini. The 1-1, confirmed at the final whistle, particularly delights Tre Fiori, who catch Virtus and Juvenes Dogana and leapfrog Fiorentino, Folgore and Domagnano all at once – with the latter two having the chance to respond in the games postponed to tomorrow and Thursday. This evening, meanwhile, Libertas and Tre Penne will take centre stage.
