Futsal: Murata defeat La Fiorita as Pennarossa keep pace
An unstoppable Murata side, on Matchday 21 of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal – played last night – overcome La Fiorita as well and remain firmly top of the table. Max Spada’s men ran out 4-1 winners over Traviglia’s Gialloblu, making it eighteen victories in a row. The Bianconeri started strongly, striking in the first half through Moretti and Busignani, before Belloni made it three before the break. Late on, De Angelis rounded off the scoring to make it four, with Chezzi netting a consolation. It is a third defeat in four for the Montegiardino Gialloblu, who now see Pennarossa pulling away in the standings and must also watch out for Tre Penne’s charge from behind.
Pennarossa are doing their best to keep up with the leaders’ monstrous pace and, thanks to last night’s win over Faetano, remain second, six points off the summit. It was all straightforward for the Biancorossi in an 8-2 scoreline recorded in the only match played in Domagnano. Novembrini’s team put their foot down from the start and went into half-time 6-0 up. In the second half, El Attar’s brace for Faetano was in vain as Pennarossa added two more goals. There were as many as seven different scorers among the eight goals: Verri, Maiani, Cappelli, Toccaceli, Brighi, Colonna and Gasperoni all found the net, with the latter bagging a brace.
Among the form sides are certainly Tre Penne, who at the Multieventi defeated Folgore 7-5 in the match of the night and moved closer to the fourth place currently occupied by La Fiorita. On the Serravalle court it was a proper contest, and the deadlock was broken early when Bacciocchi diverted in Toccaceli’s long-range effort. Folgore doubled their lead shortly after with a fine angled drive from Ercolani at the end of a great solo run. The Biancoazzurri reacted, though, pulling one back through Rossi, who followed up after Gamba’s attempt had been saved by Taddei. Tre Penne’s equaliser arrived soon after via Cola, who finished clinically after Marcatilli had struck the post. The Biancoazzurri comeback was completed on 14 minutes by Gamba, who cut back brilliantly onto his right past Casali before beating Taddei. Folgore were having none of it and restored parity through Beccari, on hand to turn in a rebound from Taddei. That goal spurred Zonzini’s side, who went back in front on 28 minutes thanks to Toccaceli, set up by Bacciocchi and lethal with a wicked left-footed strike. A wonderful first half fittingly ended level at 4-4, with Cola again on target, threading a left-footed shot through Taddei’s legs.
After the restart, Penserini’s side appeared to have more in the tank and produced the decisive surge. First, Gamba made the most of a fine assist from Rossi to put his team ahead, then Contato tapped home from close range after Gamba’s thunderous effort had been parried by Taddei. The insurance goal for Tre Penne came once more from Gamba – completing his hat-trick – with an elegant yet powerful right-footed strike that gave Taddei no chance. Folgore attempted another comeback when Ambrosini scored on 55 minutes – making the most of an Ercolani pass – but it was not enough. Tre Penne triumphed 7-5, securing a fifth consecutive victory (their seventh in the last eight) and moving to within just two points of fourth place.
It is also a good spell for Domagnano, who notched a third win on the bounce. Against Fiorentino, one goal per half was enough for Gasperoni’s men. Santarini scored in the first half, before Giovanni Righi added another after the break. With this latest success, the Wolves remain solid in sixth place and can now start eyeing fourth place as well – which would mean direct access to the play-offs and is currently only five points away.
Tre Fiori are smiling again after a 4-2 win over Juvenes-Dogana, their first victory of 2025. The Gialloblu went two up thanks to goals from Tamagnini and Zanotti in the first half. After the interval, Tamagnini scored again, with Cavalli replying for the Dogana club. Casadei netted Tre Fiori’s fourth, and although Borasco pulled one back, it was not enough for Levani’s side. Tre Fiori remain in eleventh place, two points clear of Cailungo, who yesterday collected a third win in four. The Rossoverdi put seven without reply past Libertas, who managed to hang on only for one half. In the opening period, only Angelini scored, but after the break Venerucci’s team cut loose – helped also by Morelli’s dismissal on 30 minutes – with braces from Rossini and Fellini added to goals from Galeffi and Toccaceli.
Matchday 21 of the futsal league will conclude tomorrow evening with the Multieventi clash between Virtus and San Giovanni (kick-off at 21:45).
