Futsal: Murata hit double figures straight away, nail-biting wins for Tre Penne and Domagnano

Plenty of goals and no draws in the opening evening of the Campionato Sammarinese futsal season. The biggest tally, unsurprisingly, comes from Murata, who hit double figures against Folgore. The ever-reliable Busignani takes home the match ball as top scorer: after his four goals in the Givova Supercup final, he promptly adds another four here, starting after Murata had already got on the board through De Angelis, making it 1-0 inside the opening minute. Pazzaglia pulls one back for the Giallorossoneri, who then cave in again: hat-tricks from Busignani and Mattioli stretch the gap enormously, before Pazzaglia, Taddei and Ottaviani mount a comeback attempt that is snuffed out by two more goals in black and white, scored by Aruci and De Angelis.

Strong start as well for La Fiorita, who put six past Libertas and their former player Levani. Raschi opens the scoring for Pietrangeli’s side, who then add further goals through a Giuccioli brace and efforts from Matteo Chezzi and Bernardi, plus a Gasperoni own goal. Fabbri’s strike, five minutes from time, is no more than a consolation. A double 5-1 scoreline is recorded in Acquaviva. The first chronologically is Virtus’ win over Cailungo, who go ahead early through Moroni but are then swept away by the black-and-green wave, fuelled by goals from Zafferani, Pasqualini, a Belloni brace and Morini. In the following match it is Pennarossa’s turn to celebrate. Angelini, already on the scoresheet in the Givova Supercup final, breaks the deadlock on 2’ and doubles his tally at the very start of the second half, moments after Ceccoli’s goal. In between, midway through the first half, Juvenes-Dogana had equalised through Cavalli, but after the restart there are no further goals for the side in white, red and light blue. Pennarossa, for their part, lock down their first three points of the season thanks to Oddone and Stefanelli.

The other wins on the night are all by a single-goal margin. In Dogana, San Giovanni edge Faetano 2-1. Palermino’s men take an immediate lead through Gracik, with Conti replying towards the end of the first half. The decisive goal is scored by Cecchetti just past the midway point of the second half. Still at the Ezio Conti, Tre Penne give themselves a real scare against Tre Fiori but ultimately get their first three points of the campaign over the line. On 33 minutes, they were 5-1 up, a lead built through goals by Rossi, Gamba, Gabrielli, Littera and Cola, while for the Gialloblù it was Felici who had briefly reduced the deficit at 3-0. Tre Fiori then mount a fierce reaction: strikes from Casadei, Severi and Pelliccioni (the latter scoring immediately after Rossi’s dismissal) leave the Città side hanging on, but they survive the Caudine Forks of the frantic final minutes. Something similar happens to Domagnano, firmly in control of their match yet almost pegged back by Fiorentino late on. The first half passes smoothly for the Wolves, who establish a three-goal cushion courtesy of a Hidri brace either side of Menghi’s goal. The second half also brings few worries for Gasperoni’s men – at least until the 55th minute, when Para beats Muraccini, kick-starting a comeback attempt that continues with Paoloni’s successful free-kick. Despite the high-octane finale, however, the Rossoblù cannot find a third goal and Domagnano can add their name to the list of teams who have started on the front foot.
