Futsal: Murata sweep aside Virtus, Tre Penne move up into 4th place
Murata show no mercy and last night – in the 23rd round of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal – they also beat Virtus, further consolidating their lead at the top. In Fiorentino the Bianconeri break the deadlock early on through Moretti, a scoreline that remains unchanged through to half-time and beyond. The gap is finally widened in the second half (39') when Busignani doubles Murata’s lead. In between, the dismissals of Di Maio (33') and Morganti (41') complicate any hopes of a comeback for Michelotti’s side. Murata then deliver the decisive blow: a Busignani penalty and a goal from Mattioli make it four. Cevoli pulls one back for Virtus, but the final word goes to Albani, who seals victory with the definitive 5-1. Murata thus record their 21st win in 22 games, while for Virtus this second defeat in a row proves costly. Just behind the Neroverdi, Tre Penne win and overtake the Acquaviva side to move into fourth place. Penserini’s Biancoazzurri take care of business against San Giovanni with a resounding 7-2 that earns them a tenth straight victory. The first half is actually balanced: Sabatino puts them ahead, only for Rossonero player Farfallino to level. After the restart Tre Penne turn on the style and run riot. Two more goals from Sabatino – completing his hat-trick – along with a brace from Gamba and goals by Giovagnoli and Cola secure the final 7-2 scoreline (Agostini netting San Giovanni’s goal after the break).
On top of an already flawless campaign, the league leaders Murata further extend their advantage over second place. Pennarossa, in fact, were held to a draw last night (1-1) by an impressive Folgore. Both goals come in the first half: Toccaceli breaks the deadlock for the Biancorossi, Ballarini restores parity for Zonzini’s team. The five‑game winning streak of Novembrini’s men comes to an end, and they now trail the leaders by eight points.
Behind Pennarossa, La Fiorita close the gap thanks to a 4-0 win over Juvenes-Dogana, their third victory in the last four outings. Morini opens the scoring early on, then Matteo Chezzi makes it 2-0. There are two more goals after the restart, from Pellegrini and Baldelli, which deliver all three points to Traviglia’s side. The only sour notes for La Fiorita are the red cards shown to Fumia (36') and Pellegrini (38'), but Levani’s Juvenes-Dogana are unable to take advantage. Worth highlighting is Bologna’s off night, with misses from the penalty spot (38') and from a 10-metre free-kick (57').
Another win – their second in a row – also for Gianni Galli’s Fiorentino, who sweep aside Faetano with a clear-cut 8-1. Here too the opening exchanges are even: Bernardi puts the Rossoblu ahead, but El Attar immediately draws them level. Fiorentino, however, land the decisive blows and close the half with a commanding lead: 5-1 thanks to goals from Morri, Paoloni and two further strikes from Bernardi after his opener. In the second half the Rossoblu run away with it, and Bernardi’s fourth of the night is joined by goals from Casadei and Serra to round off the 8-1.
A big win as well for Tre Fiori, who on the Multieventi court hand Libertas a resounding 7-0 defeat. The Gialloblu go in front through Tamagnini, turning in from close range after a sustained spell of pressure. The second arrives on 10 minutes, Casadei finishing a fine one‑touch move with Michelotti with a left‑footed strike.
The game really takes off after the interval, as Pollini’s side pull clear. For the third goal, this time it is Casadei who lays on the assist for Michelotti, who finishes into an empty net to make it 3-0. Another excellent team move from the Gialloblu brings up the fourth, with another telling pass from Michelotti for Maiani to tap in from close range. Shortly afterwards Casadei completes his brace, beating the advancing Inverardi from a Tamagnini assist to make it 5-0. A minute later Maiani mirrors Casadei by scoring his second of the evening at the culmination of another sustained attack for 6-0, before Crescentini puts the exclamation mark on Tre Fiori’s performance with a precise shot from the halfway line – after Inverardi had come out of his goal and Tamagnini had recovered possession. It proves a luckless night for Libertas, who also hit the woodwork twice late on through Zanotti and Podeschi. Tre Fiori thus run out 7-0 winners at the Multieventi.
The 23rd round will conclude this evening with the match between Cosmos and Cailungo, scheduled in the Acquaviva sports hall at 21:45.
This is therefore the partial programme for the 23rd matchday of the league:
