Futsal: narrow joy for Fiorentino, Pennarossa still perfect

Pennarossa backs up its winning debut, though not without a real struggle this time to get the better of Tre Fiori and take all three points. Gasperoni breaks the deadlock on 26 minutes, before Bernardi levels in first-half stoppage time, allowing the Gialloblù to stay fully in touch. That situation remains unchanged until the 38th minute, when Morini – facing his former club – restores Pennarossa’s lead and sends them in front for good through to the final whistle. This evening Murata, and next Thursday La Fiorita and Faetano, will attempt to keep pace with the Chiesanuova club. In Fiorentino yesterday evening, the only draw of the advance fixtures was also played: Cailungo-Juvenes Dogana finishes 1-1, thanks to goals from Meloni and Fabbri. The Rossoverdi went in front but – after failing to make the most of two minutes of numerical superiority following Righi’s sending-off – found the breakthrough two minutes before the interval. The equaliser for Cellarosi’s boys arrives in the 53rd minute, giving them their first point of the season after an opening-day defeat – exactly as happened to their opponents yesterday.

Comfortable victory for Folgore in the only indoor fixture of the night. Taking centre stage in the Giallorossoneri’s first win of the season is Roberto Abbruciati. His hat-trick decisively paves the way for the Falciano club, who had actually fallen behind on the quarter-hour to a strike from Beinat. Two of the universal’s three goals arrive in the same half, allowing Baldarelli’s men to approach the second period with greater composure. In that regard, the opening quarter of an hour after the restart is enough for Folgore to put the three points on ice: Semproli and Abbruciati stretch the scoreline to 4-1, further padded out in the closing minutes by Ercolani and Ballarini.

Tre Penne remain stuck on zero, level at the foot of the table with San Giovanni (who sat out the opening round) and Domagnano. After the heavy defeat on the opening day against Pennarossa, Gasperoni’s side finds itself unable to score. And so a single goal is enough for Fiorentino to take the full spoils and draw level with Cosmos on four points from two matches. The man to break the deadlock is Francesco Rossi, whose 28th-minute strike proves to be the only goal of the game. There is no way through for Domagnano, who on their home court cannot find the net even at the death – when, moreover, they lose their goalkeeper Michelotti to a red card.

On the same artificial surface, Cosmos and San Giovanni had faced off earlier in the evening. The Gialloverdi came from behind, overturning the early opener from Bernacchia, which had given Palermino’s side hope. Goals from Liistro and Cupi enabled the Serravalle outfit to turn the game around before half-time, before finding the decisive break through Cervellini midway through the second half.
