Futsal: Pennarossa keep going, Cailungo still without a win

Pennarossa reclaim top spot in the San Marino Futsal Championship by securing their seventh consecutive victory. The Biancorossi defeat Cailungo 5-1 in the first late fixture of Matchday 7, played last night at the Acquaviva Sports Hall, confirming their status as early-season front-runners. For the Rossoverdi, meanwhile, the hunt for their first win of the season goes on. Pennarossa put the match on track already in the first half, going into the break 2-0 up thanks to goals from Toccaceli (10') and Celli (24'). After the restart, Verri made it 3-0 on 38 minutes, further extending the Biancorossi’s lead. Cailungo tried to react and managed to pull one back a few minutes later (41') through Antonelli, scorer of the Rossoverdi’s only goal of the evening, but it was not enough to reopen the contest. Pennarossa kept pressing and found the net again through Verri, who completed his brace (50'). In stoppage time, in the 60’+2’, Baldani wrapped things up once and for all, sealing a 5-1 final scoreline.

Matchday seven will conclude this evening with the last fixture on the schedule: at 22:00, at the Multieventi, Virtus and San Giovanni will face each other. The partial schedule for the matchday:
