Futsal: the two leaders are relentless, Faetano makes a triple leap

Pennarossa come through the Virtus test in style and stay top of the table with a perfect record. Murata also make it four wins from four, seeing off Tre Penne 2-0 in the derby. The Bianconeri’s victory is sealed by Recober and Mattioli, on target in the 9th and 22nd minute, while Pennarossa push on to 4-0, with Simone Celli on the scoresheet on the stroke of half-time and then Ceccoli, Gasperoni and Stefanelli all striking in the first 13 minutes of the second half. After drawing with Libertas, La Fiorita immediately get back to conjugating the verb “to win”. They do so in a hard-fought encounter with Folgore, who open the scoring on 6 minutes through Abbruciati, only to be soundly turned over by Ercolani (brace), Simone Chezzi and Pasqualini. However, the Giallorossoneri refuse to go away: they climb back to 4-3 thanks to goals from Alessandro Muccioli and Molari, but cannot find the decisive touch for an equaliser, despite having a man advantage from the 52nd minute following Pellegrini’s dismissal (second yellow). Having survived the period of numerical inferiority, La Fiorita finally put the contest to bed on 56 minutes with Pasqualini’s second goal of the evening. Libertas temporarily draw level with Cosmos (in action tonight) and stay in La Fiorita’s slipstream thanks to a comprehensive victory over Juvenes Dogana – a second league win for Levani’s side. They fall behind early to a Thomas Celli goal but are just as quick to get back on level terms – specifically thanks to a penalty converted by Moretti. Lo Giudice saves a 10-metre free-kick from De Angelis before the break. At the restart, Libertas complete their comeback with goals from Selva, Giuccioli and Riccardo Michelotti, before conceding again to Fabbri on 54 minutes. But it proves to be a flash in the pan: Juvenes cannot claw their way back, and indeed are pushed further – and definitively – three goals behind in added time, when Giuccioli nets his personal brace. Juvenes remain stuck on 4 points, exactly like Virtus and Fiorentino (who had a bye), all of them overtaken in one fell swoop by Faetano, who climb to sixth place thanks to a clear win (their second of the season) over San Giovanni. Rossi opens the scoring after just 5 minutes and then strikes again at the end of the first half after goals from Donati and Simone Fortunati. San Giovanni show a sign of life on 43 minutes through Giannini, but Faetano are determined not to give the Rossoneri anything, who are hit again by Simone Fortunati (a brace for him as for Rossi) after Lago’s provisional 5-1. San Giovanni remain bottom with no points, just like Tre Penne. One step above the bottom pair are Domagnano and Cailungo, who meet in the second late fixture of the matchday, on Thursday 8 October. This evening, instead, it will be the turn of Cosmos and Tre Fiori.
