Futsal: Virtus denied leapfrogging spot as Fiorentino and Cosmos win their derbies

Tre Penne come from behind against Virtus to protect fourth place. The big match of Matchday 24 opens with the neroverdi taking the lead through Pasqualini, immediately cancelled out by Rossi. Tre Penne goalkeeper Casadei then catches his opposite number Bollini off guard and allows Penserini’s side to complete a turnaround that lasts until the 20th minute, when Bernardi brings Virtus back on level terms. The 2-2 scoreline survives well beyond half-time. Once past the midway point of the second half, the head‑to‑head clash sparks into life again. Bernardi bags his brace and restores Virtus’ lead; that advantage becomes a two‑goal cushion when Cevoli, on 55 minutes, strikes to make it 4-2, seemingly decisive. Instead, in the little time remaining, Tre Penne manage to claw back the entire gap. Pazzaglia’s own goal makes it 4-3, while Cola’s strike in the 60th minute seals the final 4-4. In added time Bernardi is sent off, but the incident has no further impact on the scoreboard.

Fiorentino run out convincing winners in one of the evening’s two derbies. Galli’s men make it three wins in a row, set in motion by a Tre Fiori own goal, unfortunately for him scored by Antonelli. Paoloni and Gasperoni then widen the gap before Tre Fiori muster a reaction with a goal from Zanotti. However, the same number 6 in yellow and blue will also be responsible for the second own goal of the evening, coming as part of Fiorentino’s late surge, rounded off by Bernardi (brace) and Felici. Tre Fiori could have been overtaken tonight by Juvenes-Dogana; instead, Pollini’s side do not lose ground to Folgore, who fall in the derby with Cosmos. The Gialloverdi perfectly “avenge” the 3-0 reverse from the first half of the season by recording a win with the same scoreline. Molinas opens the scoring just after the quarter‑hour mark, Ceccaroli doubles the lead a few minutes later and Cecchetti puts the seal on it in the 4th minute of the second half. Cosmos further extend their positive run and move to within six points of Domagnano, while waiting for the latter to play their postponed fixture with Pennarossa.

In the meantime, La Fiorita close part of the gap they have to the second‑placed side from Chiesanuova, while also stretching their lead over fourth‑placed Tre Penne. Traviglia’s team record an emphatic win over Libertas, who are beaten 15-0. Simone Chezzi is the most inspired: four goals for the number 11 in yellow and blue, adding to Morini’s hat-trick, braces from Baldelli, Paesini and Meloni, and single goals from Gualandi and Matteo Chezzi. It’s a rout as well in the clash between Murata and Cailungo. The leaders hit double figures, with Ghiotti on the scoresheet for 1-0 before Ercolani, Mattioli and Busignani complete a 4-0 half-time lead. The second half begins with Cailungo’s goal from Sarti, who shortly afterwards also puts through his own net. In the meantime Murata had lost Mattioli to a straight red card, but that does not prevent Spada’s side from further increasing their haul. Midway through the second half Ercolani scores again, quickly followed by Moretti – who nets a hat-trick in the space of six minutes – and finally Belloni for the 10-1 final scoreline. This evening Juvenes-Dogana v Faetano at the Acquaviva Sports Hall and tomorrow Domagnano v Pennarossa at the Multieventi.
