Futsal: Virtus flawless as they return to the top

It was all straightforward for Virtus, who last night on the Acquaviva court claimed a seventh straight win with a 5-1 success over Faetano and moved back to the top of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal. Michelotti’s side made the perfect start, breaking the deadlock early on through Belloni, but Selva’s Faetano replied shortly afterwards with Moroni’s temporary equaliser. The Neroverdi would not be denied and went back in front through Cevoli on 20 minutes. The former Fiorentino struck again at the start of the second half to make it three, a blow from which Faetano failed to recover, allowing the Acquaviva team to pull away and wrap up the contest thanks to Mularoni’s goal on 49 minutes and a late clincher from Casadei. Virtus thus make it seven wins from seven and send Murata back down to second place, with Spada’s Bianconeri now two points adrift of the Neroverdi.

Matchday seven will conclude this evening at 22:00 with the game at the Multieventi between Pennarossa and Folgore.
