Integrity Workshop returns for club officials, coaches and players to keep the focus high on combine and match-fixing
The education and training project for the prevention and fight against sporting fraud (Integrity Workshop) will return on 7 and 15 December 2022, targeting presidents, officials, coaches and players of the fifteen clubs affiliated to the San Marino Football Federation.
On the two evenings, held in the Conference Room of the Casa del Calcio (9.00 p.m.), the Integrity Officer for San Marino – lawyer Massimiliano Rosti – will lead the discussion on a topic that is, unfortunately, increasingly relevant: the manipulation of football matches. "We cannot be too careful – Non possiamo essere troppo prudenti" is the clear message conveyed by UEFA which, in line with its long-standing shared position with Europe’s football associations, confirms its policy of zero tolerance towards practices such as combine or match-fixing. The slogan, taken from one of the two videos distributed to participants and available on Titani.tv, underlines a firm and resolute stance against actions that undermine the very essence of football.

These corrupt practices can now also, in San Marino, carry criminal consequences for those responsible. This is why it is crucial to have a clear understanding of the guidelines that all registered participants are required to follow in order to ensure matches are played correctly. Together with the Commander of the Gendarmerie and Director of the Interpol National Central Bureau of the Republic of San Marino, Maurizio Faraone, the workshop will explore in detail the criminal organisations that seek to profit from the manipulation of official fixtures, as well as the cutting-edge investigative methods that – now worldwide – have been implemented to monitor match trends and safeguard their integrity.
