San Marino Championship - 06 February 2026

League: leaders chasing an eighth straight win, Tre Penne eyeing a seventh

The results of the latest league round particularly pleased Tre Fiori, who have stretched their precious lead at the top. The league leaders remain the only unbeaten side in the competition and their recent record reads as follows: seven consecutive wins, all achieved without conceding a single goal. Girolomoni’s men will try to extend all these numbers in Sunday’s delicate clash with Domagnano, increasingly entangled in the grip of a crisis, given that the Giallorossi Wolves have not won since 4 December (4-1 against Faetano) and have recently been forced to string together three defeats on the bounce. A wretched run that has cost them a slide down to sixth place and that demands a strong reaction. It is the toughest test possible, but also the one potentially richest in effects, precisely because of the undisputed strength of the opposition. The meeting between Tre Fiori and Domagnano features in the reduced schedule of Sunday’s late fixtures: kick-off at 15:00 in Domagnano. Another "big" side taking to the pitch on Sunday is Virtus who, after stalling against Cosmos, need to get back to conjugating the verb “to win” immediately, under penalty of dropping further, damaging points behind the leaders but also of being reeled in by Tre Penne, in better form than ever of late. The reigning champions must however beware the fearless youngsters of San Marino Academy, a team currently marching through the Thermopylae of an extremely unforgiving fixture list – the Biancoazzurri have faced, in succession, La Fiorita, Tre Penne and Tre Fiori – but one that has always managed to handle itself well against sides that, compared to them, occupy the polar opposites of the table, forcing them each time to sweat out all three points. So, beyond results that cannot satisfy them, Di Maio’s boys can be said to be in very good physical and mental shape. They will try to confirm that again against the runners-up, with the aim of turning into points the positives shown in their performances since the start of 2026; the Neroverde side will host them at the “Crescentini” in Fiorentino at 15:00, determined to extend their positive streak and stay firmly in pursuit of Tre Fiori.

The other of the three Sunday fixtures pits together two teams not so far apart in the table (just six points) and both coming off a win. The second in a row in Folgore’s case, with the Giallorossi in no mood to offer their flank to their opponents on the day and even less – indeed, above all – to La Fiorita, just a single point behind. For Fiorentino, on the other hand, victory last weekend wiped out the previous defeat: they beat Domagnano and have them now clearly in their sights, while certainly not disliking the idea of reducing the gap to the Giallorossoneri either, hoping to also put pressure on La Fiorita. Naturally, Costantini’s team must also look over their shoulders. For instance at Juvenes Dogana, who on Saturday face a very delicate clash with La Fiorita. Both sides come off a disappointing weekend. Ceci’s team – who lost two players to red cards – suffered their very first league defeat of the season and must therefore test a reaction capacity that had not been called upon until now. As for Juvenes Dogana, the draw conceded after letting a far more struggling side in the table – Cailungo – come back on them only added to the frustration stemming from the previous round’s defeat. Here too, then, a strong response is required to a so-so spell, and it will be on the Acquaviva pitch – on Saturday afternoon – that the Biancorossoazzurri will try to deliver it. This will be the only match kicking off at 18:15, preceded by four games scheduled in the classic 15:00 slot. Speaking of Juvenes Dogana, they share the same neighbourhood in the table with Cosmos, currently just one point behind their “cousins”. In the last round they did not close the gap, as – just like their rivals – they drew. But it was a draw that, very likely, boosted confidence and self-belief in Andy Selva’s squad, as it came against a title contender – and last season’s champions – Virtus. Now, however, after two games, the Gialloverdi are eager to get back to winning ways, and they will try to do so in a fixture that sees them face San Giovanni, who are also coming off a draw and – more generally – in good form, with the last two games having yielded four points in total for Tognacci’s men. This match will be played in Domagnano, while in Fiorentino Faetano will aim at least to keep San Giovanni at their current distance (one point), hoping in fact to stretch it. Sperindio’s side halted, with a draw against Pennarossa, the mini losing streak that had reached two games, but now they are firmly targeting victory against a Cailungo side who trail them by six points in the table but who have recently shown signs of recovery, taking a draw, a win and a defeat from their last three outings. The aforementioned Pennarossa have, just like Faetano, recently put an end to a negative run but have not won for a long time, specifically since 7 December. Recapturing those pleasant sensations would be a real tonic for Ricchiuti’s side, although they are faced with a very tough test, against a team, Tre Penne, who have won six in a row and who last weekend claimed a major scalp in La Fiorita, inflicting – as mentioned – the league leaders’ first defeat of this campaign. The clash between the Biancoazzurri and Biancorossi will be played in Acquaviva. In Montecchio, meanwhile, the other fixture of Matchday 5 in the second half of the season, Libertas v Murata, will take place. Having missed the chance to erase their negative points total despite twice taking the lead against Folgore, the Bianconeri will try again against the Granata, who, for their part, fully intend to extend a positive spell consisting of two wins and a draw. Buda’s men keep their sights firmly set on Pennarossa, hoping Tre Penne will live up to their billing as favourites. This and all the other weekend fixtures will, as always, be available to watch live, free of charge, on the Titani.tv platform. Fiorentino v Folgore will also be broadcast – again free of charge – on FIFA+.
