Titano Futsal Cup: second legs of the Quarter-finals tomorrow
It is already time for the Titano Futsal Cup again. Tomorrow the second legs of the Quarter-finals will take place and we will consequently find out the four teams that will progress to the semi-finals of the competition.
The two ties kicking off at 20:15 are still very much in the balance. In Fiorentino, Claudio Zonzini’s Folgore can rely on the 5-3 win from the first leg over Libertas, but the Granata are far from out of the running. Two goals would be enough to level the aggregate score and take the match to extra time (and possibly penalties). Seasonal precedents, however, do not favour Penserini’s side: in addition to the already mentioned first leg, the Granata and the Giallorossoneri have already met on the opening day of the league, with another victory for the Falciano club.
The tie between La Fiorita and Juvenes-Dogana is also finely poised in Dogana. The balance tips slightly towards the Montegiardino side, who hold a 4-1 advantage from the first leg. Nothing is lost yet for Levani’s men, but they will be facing the team coached by Gianni Galli, currently enjoying an excellent run of form (nine consecutive league wins and joint top with Fiorentino).
Aiming for the semi-final and therefore to defend the trophy is holders Fiorentino, who take to the court at 21:45 in Dogana against Domagnano. Matteo Michelotti’s team start again from the 4-0 secured in the first leg, but the Giallorossi Wolves will try everything to get back into the tie. The Rossoblu are also riding an almost perfect spell of form, with nothing but victories (nine in the league and one in the cup). Gasperoni’s side, on the other hand, are coming off a defeat to Folgore, which ended a four-match winning streak.
On the back of a remarkable 8-1 win in the first leg, Tre Fiori have one foot in the semi-finals, but in the 21:45 kick-off in Dogana they will need to watch out for Murata’s desire to bounce back. Cellarosi’s Bianconeri were heavily hit by absences in the first leg and are now aiming for a comeback. On the other side, Alex Bugli’s Gialloblu are keen to extend their positive run (their only defeat this season coming against Fiorentino in the league derby).
We also reiterate that if the aggregate score is level after the two legs, extra time and penalties will be required to determine who goes through. Here is the full programme for the second legs of the Titano Futsal Cup Quarter-finals:
